Font Family Poster
Baskerville MT Pro
Typeface: Baskerville MT pro Mock-Up Poster on Display
In this project of creating a Font Family advertisement poster for a Typography class, I was asked to make a poster for Baskerville MT pro. This project was challenging in that I was tasked with creating a poster that could be used to help sell a typeface. The font I had was Baskerville MT pro, which is generally used in Textbooks and is a more formal style of type.
First part of the process was to create thumbnail sketches of what the poster could look like. I asked some of my fellow classmates to choose which ones they liked the best and had the best design. The following is the results.
I then took them into a digital sketch and created 10 different sketches. These had no color, but reflected what the poster could look like. I then did the same thing where I asked my peers what poster ideas had the best design. They chose and I continued.
With the new idea of what poster ideas looked best, I then took them into a further detailed digital sketch. I had my top 3. Now I needed to choose one, alter it a bit and add color.
I created a new version of the sketch with color and added some new sections. I then submitted this back to my classmates and got feedback on which worked best as well as what could improve. I took this into Adobe Illustrator and I was able to come up with eh final product.
